OCCMS Managing Director and Group Technical Director
Barry is an experienced business director, project manager and chartered engineer. He has a wealth of expertise in engineering, construction and commissioning and decommissioning, covering brown and greenfield projects. Barry has worked across a range of sectors including oil and gas (conventional and unconventional), renewable energy, mining, rail and nuclear industries and covers all levels of the supply chain from service provider to client.
Jamie Japp
Operations Director
Jamie is a Chartered Manager with an MBA (Distinction) and extensive leadership experience across the global Oil, Gas and Energy sectors. A commercially astute and strategically focused Operations Director, he brings deep expertise in commissioning, completions, and project delivery, with a strong track record across complex modifications, subsea tie-backs, and major operational campaigns.
He has successfully led multi-region teams and overseen technical delivery throughout the full project lifecycle, consistently ensuring alignment with client expectations and corporate standards. Recognised for driving operational excellence, Jamie has embedded best practice across quality, HSE, cost control, and client relationship management, while applying strong financial and organisational leadership to enhance performance and support sustainable growth.
Craig Finnie
Orbit Product Manager
Craig is our IT systems and software development manager with an engineering background and experience in the energy, heavy industry, retail and dotcom sectors. Craig is responsible for the training, development and delivery of Orbit to our global client base.
Tony Davies
Associate Consultant
Tony is a degree-qualified consultant with forty years’ experience in the fields of offshore and onshore oil and gas engineering, construction, completions and commissioning, hook-up and commissioning, overhauls, greenfield construction, brownfield construction, commissioning and start-up. Tony manages the detailed preparation and execution of commissioning, work scope development and execution, coordination of design, process engineering, construction, installation and commissioning.

Laura Brai
Project Controls Administrator
Laura Brai joins our team in Aberdeen with Post Graduate Project Management qualifications, Laura also has a background in administration, graphic design and logistics and will be supporting our OCCMS operations and commissioning team’s.” It has been a roller coaster journey moving with family from Finland to study and build a life in Aberdeen. Derek Paterson
Completions Operations Manager
Derek is an experienced Completions Manager with over 13 years of delivering complex projects across the Oil & Gas and Nuclear sectors within EPC and EPCC environments. He specialises in the end-to-end completions lifecycle, with a strong focus on structured systemisation, certification, and the safe, efficient handover from Construction through Commissioning to Operations.
He has extensive experience in the implementation and optimisation of completions management systems, and is highly skilled in database population, verification, punchlist management, and asset data transfer to client operational systems. Derek brings a detail-driven, process-led approach to ensuring project readiness and compliance across both Greenfield and Brownfield developments as well as the Nuclear Industry.
Known for his collaborative leadership style, Derek has built strong, effective relationships across multidisciplinary teams and client organisations. His experience in managing complex, phased handovers aligned to key commercial milestones enables him to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes in demanding project environments.
