Our client is one of the world's largest providers of professional technical services. With a global network of more than 160 offices they operate in over 20 countries. They are currently looking to recruit an OCCMS Commissioning, Completions & Handover Senior Manager based in Berkshire.

As OCCMS Commissioning, Completions & Handover Senior Manager your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Direct, coordinate, and exercise functional authority for planning, organisation, control, resourcing and integration of personnel required to perform C, C & HO activities in and across various project boundaries
  • Develop, maintain and implement plans, procedures and processes as may be required in executing work in accordance with the overall C, C & HO philosophy
  • Responsible for overseeing the correct implementation of the setup and configuration of the Completions Management System (CMS)
  • Plan and formulate C, C & HO program and organizes C & C staff according to project requirements
  • Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of the project
  • Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments and scheduling and where appropriate the resolution of C, C & HO problems
  • Formulate and implement plans for C & C compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications
  • Directs integration of Commissioning staff into projects
  • Controls expenditures within limitations of department and project budget 
  • Prepares interim and completion project reports
  • Develop the Project Completions Handover Philosophy
  • Oversee and approve progress and status reports prior to distribution to senior management

Qualifications and experience required:

  • Extensive experience in a similar or equivalent position
  • Must be familiar with codes, standards, regulations and practices applicable to the design and construction of Projects & Plants on a nuclear licensed Site
  • Must have a good working understanding of engineering and design of process/mechanical, piping, structural, electrical and instrumentation relating to projects associated with the nuclear industry
  • Excellent Interface Management skills
  • Proven ability to work as a team leader and also an effective team player
  • Expert knowledge of the functionality and use of Completion Management Systems (CMS) in a modern project environment
  • Relevant technical qualification (HNC or above) or professional international equivalent

Our client has a vacancy for a Commissioning and Test Engineer based in Frederick, Maryland.

As Commissioning and Test Engineer your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Work to insure the safety of yourself, co-workers, vendors, customers and visitors, ensuring the standards of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment are promoted, implemented, and followed
  • Commissions the equipment and construction installations of the solar PV system throughout the course of the project
  • Manage site acceptance tests, working with Project Engineers for major equipment and equipment systems and oversee or perform these tests
  • Support the Solar Commissioning manager during the final commissioning stage of the project
  • Provide technical support for component selection and submittals, site evaluations, system design, field engineering issues including code compliance and drawing interpretation issues proposal preparation
  • Develop project schedules, budgets, energy models, scopes of work, and standards as required
  • Develop and maintain relationships with project team members, suppliers, and customers
  • Manage engineering aspects of each project, reporting to the project manager
  • Work directly with contractors and project team members to address contractor concerns, RFI’s, questions and complaints

Qualifications and experience required:

  • BS Degree in Engineering or related Technical program of study required
  • Electrical or Electronics discipline is a plus
  • Extensive experience in Photovoltaic or Power Generation projects
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills
  • An organized and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and drive to cost effective solutions
  • Strong personal skills influencing others and ensuring the team does not stop until objectives are met
  • Strong technical leadership, communication and motivation skills
  • Ability to drive change and simplification across a complex project delivery structure
  • Experience in standardizing designs and utilizing/adapting proven solutions
  • Experience with project control systems including document control and internet based project management software
  • Experience working with contractors in the field during construction.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with team members, partners and suppliers as well as AHJ’s
  • Genuine interest in renewable energy
  • Experience in Project management software and systems including AutoCAD, Excel/ all aspects of Microsoft Office
  • Relevant knowledge of applicable codes and standards including NEC, OSHA, IBC, ACES
  • Demonstrated functional test methodology and field testing experience and capability
