Job Description

  • To provide the company engineering liaison for contact among design and other departments within the company and to drive and prepare construction & commissioning workpacks
  • Track the development of workpacks in line with the project plans and schedules
  • Through interface with the Rabi Project Engineer and direct contact within the company team assist the company Lead Engineer and the company team in the Implementation and deployment of the company & Orbit on Rabi including data gathering & population, procedure writing and preparation of commissioning plans and Schedules
  • Deputize for the company Lead Engineer in times of his absence &/or rotational leave requirement

Key Responsibilities

  • Head project meetings to collect and disseminate information pertaining to the company on Rabi incl. Orbit CMS and construction/commissioning workpack feedstock
  • Technical specification review and resolution of the company related clashes/conflicts.
  • Coordinate the collection and dissemination of technical information between/within The Company
  • Schedule and monitor program activity to achieve an “on-time” result with the workpack production including follow-up with external contractors/suppliers to ensure timely response to action items
  • Prepare CTR quotations (if required) utilizing supplier information, cost standards, technical information from quality, manufacturing engineering and design
  • Create bill of material within the detailed instructions for the workpack
  • From customer drawings and other information, determine and mitigate risk and possibility of failure in the company process both CMS & workpacks
  • Suggest preventative steps for correction
  • Provide engineering interface and liaison for the setup and configuration of Completions Management System (CMS) for Rabi.
  • Report on availability of data for Orbit population from source design engineering data
  • Assist the company coordinator in defining system delineation and system limit drawings
  • Supervision and training of Clients Operations personnel
  • Assist with HAZID, HAZOP, COSHH requirements and Task Risk Assessments
  • Ensure effective interface between all project departments by means of INMACC (Interface Management of Completions and Commissioning)

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Must be familiar with codes, standards, regulations and practices applicable to the design and construction of engineered plant and facility
  • Must have a good working understanding of process/mechanical, piping, structural, electrical and instrumentation designs and design practices
  • Proven Interface Management skills
  • Proven ability to work as an effective team player and team leader
  • Knowledge of the functionality of executing scope through a workpack solution and good understanding of Completion Management Systems (CMS)

Experience Required

  • Extensive experience in Project Engineering with a bias towards Completions and Commissioning
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Ability to lead and work unsupervised


Education and Qualifications Required

  • Relevant technical qualification (preferably HNC or above) or professional international equivalent

Job Purpose

Maintain and manage Project schedules and planning activities in coordination with other departments' forecasts and priorities: Drilling and Operations to ensure an efficient execution and delivery of projects. Will identify and resolve project bottlenecks and conflicts.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Contribute to continually promoting, communicating and reinforcing the critical importance of safe HSSE working practices within the operation to ensure compliance with company policies and international standards.
  • Manages project planning and construction schedules to ensure efficient execution of projects and timely delivery based on activity forecasts and priorities of Drilling and Operations departments. Updates the planner on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures planning for resources on site, and coordinates logistical requirements to meet project schedules.
  • Responsible for the follow-up of Material Orders and Service Contracts to ensure prompt delivery.
  • Ensures prompt, accurate and efficient administration & reporting (Daily Activity Report, POB, Monthly Report, Project Planner).
  • Ensures effective communication with contractors in the field, the Projects and Operations department in POG.
  • Carry out other tasks as may be assigned by the Project Manager from time to time.

Job Description


To provide a range of discipline construction engineering services on an onshore oil pumping station including design review and project construction workpack preparation and population.

Key Responsibilities
General

  • Interface closely within clients organization
  • Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set targets are met
  • Maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment
  • Responsible for the setup and configuration of the construction workpacks as per project requirements
  • Review the workpack data population from source design engineering data
  • Monitor the management of change process, post design freeze
  • Issuing of workpack progress and status reports to management on a predetermined basis
  • Interface with the Completions Coordinator during Orbit population
  • Advise with equipment storage and preservation requirements
  • Ensure effective interface between all project departments by means of INMACC (Interface Management of Completions and Commissioning)

The right candidate must also have the ability to communicate well at all levels within the Project. Experience Required
Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas Industry with at least years experience in discipline engineering, both construction and commissioning.
