Job Description

  • Manage the mechanical maintenance supervisors (rotating and static) and mechanical on the job trainer by setting priorities in line with the agreed annual business plan, 90 day plans and short term execution schedules.
  • Providing mechanical discipline support during construction and operation that meets the required electrical engineering and HSE standards for all mechanical system required for the Phase 2AB project.
  • Monitoring and reporting EPC contractor's overall progress in the construction phase of mechanical equipment, and highlight any potential deviations from the project specification.
  • Ensuring that Maintenance procedures (MCP) are produced and loaded in SAP.
  • Maintaining contact and coordinating with the other project discipline engineers as well as company technical support departments on relevant technical matters, up-to-date information and company experience during design and construction.
  • Ensuring that all project mechanical design deliverables are delivered in time and comply with Company CoP and ERD HSE and integrity.
  • Ensuring (demonstrably) quality in design and adherence to design.
  • Ensuring that all mechanical system DD activities, information, design changes, variations and decisions are properly processed, approved and documented.
  • Review the mechanical construction activities to ensure contractor work compliance to approved design, technical standard, contractors' compliance to the Contract HSE Plans and maintaining design technical integrity.
  • Coordinating with Operations on commissioning, hand-over and should it be needed shutdown requirements.
  • Ensuring quality maintenance history is provided and recorded in SAP.
  • Providing input for the formulation HSE and Asset strategies and plans e.g. HSE plans, HSE Cases, Audit plans and Asset Reference plan.
  • Monitoring and controlling annual budgets for the mechanical maintenance section, monitor and control expenditure.
  • Ensuring that Technical Integrity non-conformance reporting is maintained up to date.
  • Identifying and comply with HSE management responsibilities as documented in the HSE Management System.

Skills and Experience

  • University Degree in mechanical engineering with a extensive relevant experience in operation and maintenance of mechanical static and rotating equipment.
  • Demonstrated managerial qualities and analytical abilities.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of high pressure mechanical equipment working in sour operating conditions.
  • Moderate supervisory experience.

Job Description

  • Review of RE repetitive failures/problematic machines and seek/recommend solution for longer term improve reliability
  • Review instrumentation/metering surface maintenance activity execution performance on a regular basis and implement improvements in the IAP.
  • Review equipment and process performance on a regular basis, identify and implement improvements.
  • Ensure critical equipment condition monitoring trending and analyses is carried out and resultant actions are included in the IAP.
  • Review and optimize RE strategies, work practices and procedures.

Skills and Experience

  • Engineering degree or HND/ HNC or equivalent in relevant Engineering discipline and extensive field experience of which experience in a Maintenance or Engineering Projects role.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Oil/Gas process and systems.
  • A good knowledge of relevant E&P operations, procedures and practices.
  • Self-motivated and is required to have strong leadership skills.
  • Should be aware of HSE and process safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of Hazardous areas and equipment fit for those areas.
  • Fully computer literate, valid driving license, good communicator and organizer.
  • Ability to perform as a team player.
  • Conversant with relevant international standards.
  • Strong analytical abilities and practical approach.
  • Must have the ability and confidence to work with minimum supervision.
  • The candidate has to satisfy the minimum competence requirements specified in the standard job profile for electrical engineer with minimum electrical authority of CP.
  • In particular, the incumbent should have adequate knowledge in specifying zone classifications, specifying protection scheme and components, evaluating and selecting type of motors, specifying requirements for switchgear, transformers, UPS system and participation in SAFOP, design review, etc.

Job Description

  • System Owner for electrical systems and sub systems within the Area as detailed by the Commissioning Area Lead.
  • Fully integrated with CMT, Start-Up and BTPO through all phases of the project to initial plant operation, ensuring a seamless handover to Operations and acceptance of the facilities.
  • Instructs, supervises and provides technical direction to electrical technician teams, vendors and specialist subcontractors/third party personnel to deliver to Static & Dynamic Commissioning targets.
  • Supports the Area Commissioning Leads on electrical commissioning issues.
  • Accountable for maintaining the electrical commissioning teams performance, efficiency, productivity and delivery to schedule.
  • Detailed work preparation including job packs, materials, tools plant and equipment.

Skills & Experience

  • College technical diploma and/or equivalent discipline/vocational qualification or 10+ years of relevant and transferable electrical commissioning experience, preferably in an Oil and Gas Environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Project Completion standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria.
  • Established track record in supervision of large teams through Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, Start Up and initial plant operations.
  • Proven strong technical skills in discipline subject matter.

Job Description

The role of the Electrical Commissioning Engineer is to coordinate a team (via contractor interface) of Electrical Commissioning Engineers and Technicians in executing commissioning activities in order to deliver facilities to Operations in accordance with the project technical standards and schedule. The Electrical Commissioning Engineer is to provide commissioning support during start-up activities up to project completion.

  • Participate in all Company HSSE systems and ensure that all work carried out by all parties engaged in all phases of the project complies with these requirements.
  • Be familiar with all aspects of project electrical design and equipment.
  • Provide regular communication of system status, schedule issues, quality issues, etc to the Commissioning Manager.
  • Ensure the process for authorisation of electrical personnel is in place and adhered to.
  • Accountable for approving Livening-up-Notices.
  • Ensure that Electrical Isolations are applied in accordance with approved Electrical Isolations procedures and standards.
  • Be familiar with Project Completions Management Procedure (GoC).
  • Familiarise oneself with the remaining pre-commissioning and commissioning work scope for electrical equipment for each system.
  • Identify opportunities for early system handover of systems.
  • Be familiar with the project sub-systems and systems represented on Limits of System Handover (LOSH) Drawings.

  • Participate in bi-party punchlist system walkdown at system handover, for systems with electrical equipment content.
  • Ensure all relevant As-Built Drawings / Documents are marked up by Electrical commissioning team as defined in project As-Built Procedure
  • When supervising multi-discipline commissioning activities, ensure the use of overrides and inhibits is correctly controlled as per procedure.
  • Ensure that any software/firmware changes within relays and electrical control systems are updated to final user, registered and backups created.

Skills and Experience

  • Extensive experience in Commissioning of Electrical power systems on an oil and gas major project.
  • Additional experience from Operations would also be an advantage.
  • The candidate should be qualified and certified as trained and competent in conducting HV and LV isolations and switching.
  • Also COMPEX trained.
  • Knowledge of process plant, facilities, utilities, architecture of surface and subsurface onshore gas and oil producing facilities.
  • It is expected that the successful candidate will have an engineering degree or demonstrated extensive experience within the field of commissioning.

  • Implementation of commissioning strategy and execution plan;
  • Developing, implementing and managing commissioning plans, procedures and budgets;
  • Specifying commissioning contractor technical support requirements;
  • Leading multi-disciplinary pre-commissioning and commissioning activities (Mechanical);
  • Technical and HSE risk identification and mitigation (including Flawless Project Delivery);
