As Commissioning Manager your main responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and direct the project commissioning team and personnel in the safe and structured delivery of the project commissioning process and objectives.
  • Effectively manage the pre and commission personnel at all times to ensure the safe and efficient execution of the scope
  • Continually strive to improve / develop the commissioning process and practices.
  • Manage all project commissioning processes and activities.
  • Manage the commissioning budget and costs
  • Ensure all necessary sub-contracts, vendor contracts and other support are in place
  • Ensure effective pre and commissioning document management system and process are in place and managed effectively
  • Provide all necessary training to commissioning personnel
  • Audit / review of the project commissioning process ensuring where applicable recommendations implemented.
  • Third party verification body liaison
  • Maintain the commissioning project schedule / cost deliverables
  • Interface with the client representatives as required

As Field Instrument Commissioning Engineer your main responsibilities will include:

  • Organize the witnessing of Pre-commissioning activities by your team.
  • Manage commissioning activities of your discipline and maintain good coordination for daily site activities with other parties; carefully managing the access to Control System to validate all testing
  • Assist the Contractor for Pre-commissioning and Commissioning dossiers management
  • Initiate and follow up clearance of Punch List, highlight technical problem encountered and provide technical expertise to speed up PL clearance
  • Socialize ICAPS software and Punch List management to all users
  • Initiate and follow up clearance of Punch List, highlight technical problem encountered and provide technical expertise to speed up PL clearance
  • Create ICAPS Commissioning database for the Power Generators and Turbo Compressors and verify the Contractor Icaps database for precommissioning and commissioning of the plant
  • Permanently follow-up the updating of the commissioning dossier for your discipline
  • Approve the test records and verify updating on ICAPS database accordingly
  • Ensure that the Commissioning Red Line Mark-up is done on relevant drawings and documents
  • Permanently liaise with Start-up Team for Field Operations personnel participation to testing and witnessing of the activities
  • Report immediately any unexpected event which may affect the commissioning activities

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A level of expertise in Field Instrumentation and control system
  • Extensive experience in commissioning within the Oil and Gas Industry.
  • Understanding of all aspects of oil and gas production operations with an established and proven track record as a Commissioning Engineer.
  • Fully conversant with the OPERCOM specification & ICAPS database
  • Full driving licence that permits driving in the UK - Essential
  • Valid medical certificate - Essential

This position is based in the project offices in Aberdeen initially, then Shetland
Travel to other international sites will be required as part of the role
Offshore travel may also be necessary

  • Ensure a daily follow-up of the Progress of all activities of your discipline against planning and recommend any necessary corrective action.
  • Participate in Daily and Weekly reports for the commissioning discipline

Qualifications/Experience

  • Extensive experience in commissioning within the Oil and Gas Industry with hands on experience in commissioning of MEG system, gas dehydration, gas plant utilities, and gas compression system.
  • A good understanding on Nuovo Pignone gas compressor.
  • Understanding of all aspects of oil and gas production operations with an established and proven track record as a Commissioning Engineer..
  • Fully conversant with the OPERCOM specification & ICAPS database
  • Full driving licence that permits driving in the UK - Essential
  • Valid medical certificate - essential

This position is based in the project offices in Aberdeen initially, then Shetland
