Oil flows at the Obangue East facility

OCCMS Team delivers their first major project as the first well is opened

Orion Completions & Commissioning Management Services (OCCMS) is pleased to announce the successful opening of the first well at the Obangue East Facility in Gabon, West Africa. This is a fantastic achievement for the OCCMS team and a first for the company in executing an extremely challenging completions project through its life cycle.

Barry Cann, Managing Director of OCCMS, said: “Once again the professionalism and success of our team in Gabon has shown the many cost saving benefits to companies interested in using our services. OCCMS is leading the way in project management for Completions and Commissioning and the Gabon project is a working example of the outstanding service we provide.”

Geoff Todd, Operations Director added “Personnel are a key driver to any Commissioning project and the dedicated work of Chris Parkin and his team is second to none. The Obangue East Facility is by no means an easy working environment and their efforts to deliver this project have been of the highest standards.”

Today’s news falls on the back of the Inverness and Newcastle-based OCCMS becoming the first completions and commissioning management company to receive the Quality Management System ISO: 9001 certification – a management framework recognised in more than 170 countries worldwide. Reaching this standard allows companies to achieve increased customer satisfaction, staff motivation and continual improvement.
